back. being quite a while since i last post an entry.
had a couple of days of rhibs training. its just getting interesting, when i was told it will be the last week of rhibs training, which means, today is the last day, till july.
anyways, was told by sir that we will be playing chase the rabbit yesterday. was a bit shocked with the two boats that we were using. boat 2 was furiously fast and boat 10 was much slower. tested the hull when sending them back on monday and realised that boat 2 can easily overtake boat 10. pointed out this fact to sir, which he commented, was not an issue. however, when we were out at sea, realised what sir said was true! yes, it is true that boat 10 is slower than boat 2. but, boat 10 is better at cutting corners! boat 2 will create a sense of insecurity when making a turn, and hence the driver has to slow down and make a turn, but boat 10 can turn nicely, hence boat 10 will be able to keep a distance from boat 2 by simply making lots of turns:)
this makes me think about something else. initially, wanted to condemn some of the juniors. however, after the incident, decided to give them another chance. to show it to me and others that they are not a rotten apple. because, i believe everyone is good at something, probably you are good at attitude, but not boat handling, probably you are good at boat handling, but not operations knowledge. decided to reconsider all of them again. hopefully my batch mates and seniors will see this, and understand what i mean, esp gk and yb, but i doubt they will see this:(
okays, thats all for today. going for duty tomorrow and after dismounting next thursday, will have a range on friday. bleahs. life goes on. counting down to 2 more duty cycles before i take over and become romeo IC!
